Mouse Beta-defensin 2/Defb2 ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Beta-defensin 2 (DEFB2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with antigen-coated wells, supporting research into DEFB2, a member of the defensin family of antimicrobial peptides that plays an important role in the innate immune response against pathogens.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a reported sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with serum showing recoveries of 86-102%, 86-105%, and 85-101% respectively. Average recovery was 96% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. Unopened reagents should be stored at 2-8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
