Mouse Beta-defensin 14 (Defb14) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of mouse Beta-defensin 14 (Defb14), an antimicrobial peptide involved in mucosal immunity and defense against pathogens. Its expression is associated with inflammatory responses and wound healing, making it a useful biomarker for immunology, infectious disease and inflammation research. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and recognises both natural and recombinant mouse Beta-defensin 14.

The assay accepts a broad range of sample matrices, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is run as a colorimetric sandwich ELISA with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatants and cell lysates.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.091 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been established in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and recovery has been validated in serum and plasma matrices.
