Mouse Beta-casein (Csn2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of mouse Beta-casein (Csn2). The assay is reactive with mouse samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Beta-casein.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.7%. Recovery averages 81% (range 80-87%) for serum and 83% (range 80-89%) for plasma. Linearity has been assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The target is a secreted beta-casein isoform b (UniProt P10598; NCBI Gene ID 12991) with a molecular weight of 25,337 Da, described as having an important role in the determination of the surface properties of the casein micelles.
