Mouse Beta,beta-carotene 9',10'-oxygenase (Bco2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of mouse Beta,beta-carotene 9',10'-oxygenase (Bco2) — also known as B-diox-II, Beta-carotene dioxygenase 2 or Bcdo2 — in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects both natural and recombinant mouse Bco2, a mitochondrial enzyme that asymmetrically cleaves beta-carotene at the 9',10' double bond to form beta-apo-10'-carotenal and beta-ionone, and also oxidatively cleaves lycopene.

Detection range is 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.403ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.6% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.4% CV. Reactivity is specific to mouse samples (UniProt Q99NF1), and the kit is intended for research use only.
