Mouse Beta 2-microglobulin/BMG ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this is a Sandwich ELISA kit using a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout, designed for the quantitative detection of beta-2 microglobulin in mouse samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Beta-2 microglobulin is described as a key protein involved in immune response and kidney function, where it serves as a biomarker for conditions such as kidney dysfunction, autoimmune disorders and hematologic malignancies, making its measurement valuable for studying disease progression and treatment monitoring in mouse models.

Reported sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 80–104%. Recovery in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5) ranges from 88–105%, with averages of 99%, 97% and 97% respectively. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The assay workflow includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
