Mouse BDH1/D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase mitochondrial ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for quantification of BDH1 (D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial) in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, using a colorimetric detection method.

The assay provides a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. Validated recovery averaged 96% for serum (range 96-103%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 88-99%) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 86-104%), with linearity of 86-104%, 85-99% and 80-99% for serum dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 respectively.

BDH1 plays a key role in the metabolism of beta-hydroxybutyrate, a ketone body involved in energy production during fasting or ketogenic diets, and its dysregulation has been linked to metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity.
