Mouse BD-1/ beta Defensin 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA assay kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate quantification of Mouse BD-1 (Beta-Defensin 1) levels in research samples. BD-1 is an antimicrobial peptide that plays a key role in the innate immune response, helping to protect the host from microbial infections, and serves as a valuable biomarker for researching immune responses, inflammatory diseases, and microbial infections in mouse models.

The kit uses a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format with colorimetric detection and is reactive with mouse samples. It has been validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL, with an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity (n=5) in serum is 85-98% at 1:2, 95-104% at 1:4, and 94-99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma 82-93%, 93-100%, and 86-96%; heparin plasma 81-97%, 81-96%, and 85-100%. Recovery is 91-102% for serum (average 96%), 88-102% for EDTA plasma (average 92%), and 89-104% for heparin plasma (average 98%). The procedure uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB substrate development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
