Mouse Basigin (Bsg) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the detection of mouse Basigin (Bsg), a transmembrane glycoprotein also known as CD147 and by synonyms Basic immunoglobulin superfamily, HT7 antigen, and Membrane glycoprotein gp42. The kit is validated for reactivity with mouse samples and accepts a broad range of matrices including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant mouse Basigin. Performance is reported across a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 41pg/mL, and precision data show an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recoveries of 98% from serum (range 92-104%) and 100% from plasma (range 94-106%). The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Basigin is implicated in targeting monocarboxylate transporters to the plasma membrane, with established roles in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation and tumour progression, where it stimulates adjacent fibroblasts to produce matrix metalloproteinases.
