Description

A sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse basement membrane-specific heparan sulfate proteoglycan core protein (HSPG2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with mouse samples. HSPG2 is a key component of the basement membrane, playing a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration and signalling processes. Dysregulation of HSPG2 has been linked to cancer, kidney disorders and developmental abnormalities, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and exploring potential therapeutic interventions.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.088 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.6% and inter-assay CV is 8.5%. Spike-and-recovery in serum averages 100% (range 94–106%) and in plasma 102% (range 96–108%). Linearity in serum yields ranges of 106–115% at 1:2, 102% at 1:4, 100–110% at 1:8 and 102–112% at 1:16. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse HSPG2 (UniProt Q05793). The kit is for research use only.
