Description

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Atrial natriuretic peptide-converting enzyme (Corin) in research samples. The assay shows reactivity with mouse and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 36pg/mL.

Corin — also referred to as Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4, Pro-ANP-converting enzyme, Crn or Lrp4 — is a serine-type endopeptidase (UniProt: Q9Z319; molecular weight 116,697 Da) that proteolytically converts the non-functional propeptide NPPA into the active atrial natriuretic peptide hormone, contributing to blood pressure regulation as well as natriuresis, diuresis and vasodilation. The enzyme may also process pro-NPPB and has additional roles in trophoblast invasion, uterine spiral artery remodeling during female pregnancy and renal sodium reabsorption.

Linearity of the assay has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16 (N=5), with reported ranges of 117-127%, 112-122%, 88-98% and 99-110% for serum; 105-114%, 82-94%, 94-106% and 94-104% for EDTA plasma; and 107-118%, 89-98%, 97-107% and 99-110% for heparin plasma. The product is supplied for research use only.
