Description

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX42 (Ddx42), also referred to as DEAD box protein 42. Intended for research use only, the assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is specific for both natural and recombinant mouse DDX42.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 15.78 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%. Dilutional linearity has been demonstrated in serum (95-105%, 101-113%, 96-104% and 94-105% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (105-115%, 102-112%, 106-115% and 110-120%) and heparin plasma (107-116%, 110-120%, 113-123% and 102-110%). Mean recovery is 80% (range 80-86%) in serum and 82% (range 80-88%) in plasma.

DDX42 is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase that binds partially double-stranded RNAs to unwind RNA secondary structures, with ATP and ADP modulating its activity between RNA strand separation and complementary strand annealing. The protein forms part of the splicing factor SF3B complex and interacts via its C-terminus with TP53BP2, and it localises to the cytoplasm, nuclear speckles and Cajal bodies.
