Mouse ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 7 (Abca7) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 7 (Abca7). The assay is reactive with mouse and is intended for research use only.

Validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the kit detects natural and recombinant mouse Abca7. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085ng/mL. Precision is described as an intra-assay CV of 6.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Linearity has been established across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16: serum (N=5) shows 105-117%, 104-115%, 100-110% and 117-127%; EDTA plasma (N=5) shows 97-105%, 100-110%, 104-113% and 107-117%; heparin plasma (N=5) shows 92-102%, 90-99%, 104-116% and 107-117%. Recovery averages 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma.

Abca7 plays a role in phagocytosis by macrophages of apoptotic cells, binds APOA1 and may function in apolipoprotein-mediated phospholipid efflux from cells, may mediate cholesterol efflux, and may regulate cellular ceramide homeostasis during keratinocyte differentiation.
