Mouse ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 1 (Abca1) ELISA Kit

Designed for cardiovascular research applications, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables the quantification of ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 1 (ABCA1) in mouse specimens. The assay employs a colourimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples. Suitable specimen types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity directed at natural and recombinant mouse Phospholipid-transporting ATPase ABCA1.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an Intra-assay CV of 8.1% and an Inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity has been characterised across serial dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported as 85% on average (range 80–91%) for serum and 87% on average (range 81–93%) for plasma.

ABCA1 is a multi-pass membrane ATP-binding cassette transporter that catalyses the translocation of specific phospholipids from the cytoplasmic to the extracellular/lumenal leaflet of the membrane, coupled to the hydrolysis of ATP, contributing to the formation of nascent high-density lipoproteins.
