Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, designed for the accurate measurement of ATM (Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated) in mouse samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research into the DNA damage response pathway and the maintenance of genomic stability.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a working range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) spans 85–105% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, EDTA plasma (n=5) spans 82–99%, and heparin plasma (n=5) spans 80–98%. Recovery ranges are 89–104% for serum (average 96%), 85–104% for EDTA plasma (average 95%), and 86–101% for heparin plasma (average 92%). The protocol includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB color development for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

ATM is a serine-protein kinase with a key role in DNA repair, cellular signalling, and genomic stability. Mutations in the ATM gene have been linked to ataxia telangiectasia, a rare genetic disorder associated with neurodegeneration and increased cancer risk. The kit supports work on DNA repair mechanisms, disease pathology, and potential therapeutic targets in mouse models.
