Mouse Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase (Ddc) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase (Ddc), an enzyme also referred to by the synonyms DOPA decarboxylase, DDC, and AADC. The kit is intended for research use only and is suited to neuroscience workflows, as Ddc catalyses the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to dopamine, L-5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin, and L-tryptophan to tryptamine.

The assay uses a colorimetric method and reacts with mouse Ddc, detecting the target in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant mouse Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase, and the protein functions as a homodimer (UniProt O88533). The detection range is 0.156-10ng/mL and the sensitivity is 0.092ng/mL. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery values are provided with the kit.
