Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of arginase levels in mouse samples. It uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit has a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, making it suitable for research in cell biology and into immune responses, inflammation, and nitric oxide production.

Validated performance includes linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, with serum at 95–103%, 92–102%, and 92–101% respectively; EDTA plasma at 83–101%, 82–96%, and 90–97%; and heparin plasma at 85–98%, 86–100%, and 81–96% (all n=5). Recovery was 89–105% for serum (average 97%), 85–103% for EDTA plasma (average 93%), and 86–104% for heparin plasma (average 94%). The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The assay follows a six-step protocol: reagent and plate equilibration; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes; HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes; TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance covers serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate. Arginase, also known by the synonym Arg, is an enzyme that regulates arginine metabolism and is a useful biomarker for studying immune disorders, vascular diseases, and cancer.
