Mouse AR/Androgen Receptor ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse androgen receptor (AR) levels, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL.

The androgen receptor is a nuclear hormone receptor that regulates gene expression in response to androgen hormones and plays a role in male sexual development, muscle growth, and bone density maintenance. Dysregulation of the androgen receptor is linked to prostate cancer, male infertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome, making it a relevant target for research within epigenetics and nuclear signalling.

The workflow includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
