Mouse Aquaporin-5 (Aqp5) ELISA Kit

Aquaporin-5 is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the apical cell membrane. It forms a water-specific channel implicated in the generation of saliva, tears, and pulmonary secretions, and is required for TRPV4 activation by hypotonicity. Dysregulation of AQP-5 has been linked to dry mouth, pulmonary disorders, and skin diseases, establishing it as a useful biomarker for studies of water homeostasis.
