Mouse Aquaporin 2 ELISA Kit

Aquaporin 2 is a key protein involved in water reabsorption in the kidneys, contributing to fluid balance and urine concentration. Dysregulation of aquaporin 2 has been implicated in diabetes insipidus and kidney disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for investigating physiological and pathological processes in mouse models.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was 88-104%, 82-97%, and 80-100% for serum; 85-97%, 89-100%, and 85-100% for EDTA plasma; and 88-104%, 88-97%, and 80-97% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges were 85-104% (average 92%) for serum, 92-105% (average 99%) for EDTA plasma, and 96-104% (average 100%) for heparin plasma. The procedure involves equilibration, 37°C primary incubation for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
