Mouse Aquaporin-1 (Aqp1) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of mouse Aquaporin-1 (AQP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is for research use only and provides quantitative determination of AQP1 concentrations in mouse samples, supporting research into water-transport biology and conditions linked to dysregulated AQP1 expression, such as kidney disorders, brain edema and certain cancers.

The assay uses a sandwich ELISA format with a reported detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and sensitivity of 0.159 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.4% and inter-assay CV is 8.0%. Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with recovery averages of 106% for serum (range 100–112%) and 108% for plasma (range 102–114%). The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse Aquaporin-1.

According to UniProt annotation Q02013, AQP1 forms a water-specific channel that provides the plasma membranes of red cells and kidney proximal tubules with high permeability to water, permitting water movement along an osmotic gradient.
