Mouse AQP3/Aquaporin-3 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and sensitive measurement of mouse aquaporin-3 (AQP-3) levels in mouse samples, enabling the in vitro quantitative determination of AQP-3 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit supports research in cell biology, physiology and disease research, where dysregulation of aquaporin 3 has been linked to conditions such as dermatitis, kidney diseases and cancer.

Aquaporin-3 is a water channel that promotes glycerol permeability and water transport across cell membranes, acting as a glycerol transporter in skin with roles in skin hydration, wound healing and tumorigenesis. It provides the kidney medullary collecting duct with high permeability to water, is slightly permeable to urea, and contributes to gastrointestinal water transport and glycerol metabolism. The protein (UniProt Q8R2N1) has a molecular weight of 31,568 Da and is also known by the aliases AQP3, GIL and Aquaglyceroporin-3.

The assay delivers a sensitivity of 0.188ng/ml across a range of 0.313-20ng/ml, with intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. Recovery averages 95% in serum (n=5; range 91-101%), 96% in EDTA plasma (n=5; range 86-104%) and 96% in UFH plasma (n=5; range 90-102%), and linearity is demonstrated by serial dilutions of spiked serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer and plate sealer.
