Mouse Apoptosis regulatory protein Siva (Siva1) ELISA Kit

The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse Siva1 with a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. Siva1 is also known by the synonyms CD27-binding protein, CD27BP, and Siva (UniProt: O54926), with a molecular weight of 11,737 Da. The target subcellular location includes the cytoplasm and nucleus, where it accumulates in dot-like structures.

Siva1 is a proapoptotic protein that associates with CD27, a member of the tumour necrosis factor receptor family. It induces CD27-mediated apoptosis, inhibits the anti-apoptotic activity of BCL2L1 isoform Bcl-x(L), inhibits activation of NF-kappa-B, and promotes T-cell receptor-mediated apoptosis. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described; isoform 1 may induce TNFRSF7/CD27-mediated apoptosis and inhibits Bcl-xL activity, while isoform 2 does not. Dysregulation of Siva1 has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, highlighting its significance as a potential therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker.
