Mouse Apolipoprotein E/APOE ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Apolipoprotein E (APOE), this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit uses a colorimetric detection method. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the components are intended to be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions has been demonstrated for serum (86–100%, 82–95%, 84–99%), EDTA plasma (80–89%, 80–95%, 90–95%) and heparin plasma (83–98%, 82–99%, 83–97%). Recovery averages are 95% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma, with ranges of 90–96%, 86–102% and 88–103% respectively.

The microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the target protein. Standards and diluted samples are added and incubated, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody that forms a sandwich complex. HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate are then added to produce a colorimetric reaction that is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader, with signal intensity proportional to analyte concentration.
