AP2B1 is a component of the adaptor protein complex 2, which plays a role in clathrin-dependent endocytosis and vesicle trafficking, and whose dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, neurological disorders, and metabolic diseases. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and is suited to research in the Neurosciences area.

Performance characteristics supplied by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.41ng/mL. Intra-assay CV and inter-assay CV are each listed at 0.0%. Linearity was assessed across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions (N=5): serum 91-99%, 86-98%, 88-97%, and 106-117%; EDTA plasma 113-123%, 104-114%, 108-117%, and 106-115%; heparin plasma 95-104%, 102-112%, 102-111%, and 89-100%. Average recovery is reported at 80% for both serum and plasma (range 80-80%).
