Mouse Anti-Type II Collagen Antibody ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the detection of anti-type II collagen antibodies in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay is also referred to as an Anti-CIIAb ELISA and uses a double-antigen format. Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL with a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, and the detection method is colorimetric. Because type II collagen is a key component of cartilage, this kit is positioned for research into joint health, with relevance to conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Reported recovery is 92–102% (average 97%) in serum, 93–104% (average 98%) in EDTA plasma, and 89–105% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 85–103% for serum, 86–101% for EDTA plasma, and 94–103% for heparin plasma. The protocol employs a biotin-labelled antigen and an HRP-streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate development and absorbance read at 450 nm. Components should be stored sealed at 2–8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
