Mouse Angiotensin-converting enzyme (Ace) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE), a key enzyme involved in the regulation of blood pressure and fluid balance that has been linked to cardiovascular and renal disease when dysregulated. The kit is suitable for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Angiotensin-converting enzyme.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.11ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (N=5): 87-97%, 87-99%, 87-99% and 105-115%; in EDTA plasma (N=5): 92-102%, 110-119%, 108-118% and 108-120%; and in heparin plasma (N=5): 104-114%, 87-97%, 108-119% and 85-97%. Recovery is reported as 97% (91-103) for serum and 99% (93-105) for plasma. ACE converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II, inactivates the vasodilator bradykinin, and exhibits GPIase activity relevant to sperm egg-binding. For research use only.
