Mouse Angiopoietin-1 (Angpt1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Angiopoietin-1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Angiopoietin-1, also known by the synonyms ANG-1 and Agpt. It is intended for research use only.

The kit offers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39pg/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Dilutional linearity in serum ranged from 110-120% at 1:2 to 92-105% at 1:16, with EDTA plasma showing 100-110% at 1:2 to 96-106% at 1:16, and heparin plasma showing 110-120% at 1:2 to 89-102% at 1:16. Recovery averaged 90% in serum (range 84-96%) and 92% in plasma (range 86-98%).

Angiopoietin-1 is a secreted glycoprotein that binds and activates the TEK/TIE2 receptor by inducing its dimerization and tyrosine phosphorylation. It plays an important role in regulating angiogenesis, endothelial cell survival, proliferation, migration, adhesion, cell spreading, actin cytoskeleton reorganization, and the maintenance of vascular quiescence. The protein functions as a homooligomer and is catalogued under UniProt accession O08538.
