Mouse Amyloid Beta 42/AB 1-42 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich double-antibody ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of Amyloid Beta 42 (Ab 1-42) in mouse-derived samples. The kit is suited to research into Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative conditions, where amyloid beta 42 contributes to neurotoxic plaque formation in the brain and to cognitive decline. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and other liquid samples.

Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with a measuring range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. In dilution linearity testing (n = 5) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, serum ranged 87–101%, EDTA plasma 83–101% and heparin plasma 80–100%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 97% for serum (range 87–104%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 86–104%) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90–96%). The assay workflow comprises a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin incubation and 10–20 minutes of color development in the dark before stop solution is added. Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months.
