Mouse Amyloid Beta 40/AB 1-40 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of amyloid beta 40 levels in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, cerebrospinal fluid, and other liquid samples. Amyloid beta 40 is described as a key protein involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, contributing to plaque formation in the brain.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody sandwich format, with a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with the TMB substrate and labelled components protected from direct light.

Linearity was validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 in serum (86-101%, 98-104%, 88-100%), EDTA plasma (83-96%, 89-101%, 83-98%) and heparin plasma (83-99%, 80-100%, 84-90%), each with n=5. Recovery ranges were 87-105% (serum, average 95%), 89-104% (EDTA plasma, average 99%) and 86-99% (heparin plasma, average 93%). The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute detection antibody binding step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin incubation, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes before reading absorbance at 450 nm.
