Mouse AMY1/Alpha-amylase ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative determination of mouse AMY1 (alpha-amylase) levels in research samples. The assay is reactive with mouse and is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Reported performance: sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Linearity has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with serum at 90-104%, 84-99%, 85-99%; EDTA plasma at 87-96%, 85-101%, 80-92%; and heparin plasma at 87-98%, 84-101%, 87-98%. Spiked recovery is reported as 91-102% (average 96%) for serum, 95-102% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-95% (average 91%) for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months and is positioned for metabolism research, given that alpha-amylase is the enzyme that hydrolyses complex carbohydrates and is studied as a biomarker in metabolic and gastrointestinal investigations.
