Mouse Aminopeptidase O (Aopep) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Aminopeptidase O (Aopep). Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for mouse samples. The assay detects both natural and recombinant mouse Aminopeptidase O (synonyms: AP-O, Onpep).

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 40.1pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Linearity in serum spans 88-97% at 1:2 to 87-100% at 1:16; EDTA plasma shows 85-85% to 109-119% and heparin plasma 88-97% to 102-111% across the same dilution series. Mean recovery is 94% (88-100%) in serum and 96% (90-102%) in plasma.

Aminopeptidase O is a cytoplasmic metallopeptidase of the peptidase M1 family (UniProt Q8BXQ6) with a reported molecular weight of 52,774 Da. It catalyses hydrolysis of N-terminal amino acid residues from peptide and protein substrates, can cleave angiotensin III to generate angiotensin IV within the renin-angiotensin pathway, and does not cleave angiotensin I or angiotensin II. Dysregulation of AOPEP levels has been linked to several diseases, supporting its use as a biomarker in research. For research use only.
