Mouse Amelogenin, X isoform (Amelx) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Amelogenin, X isoform (Amelx), also referred to as Leucine-rich amelogenin peptide (LRAP) or Amel, in mouse samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse Amelogenin, X isoform.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.079ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Recovery has been measured at 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with values generally falling between 81% and 117%.

Amelx is a secreted protein found in the extracellular space and extracellular matrix that plays a role in the biomineralization of teeth. It is thought to regulate the formation of crystallites during the secretory stage of tooth enamel development and to contribute to the structural organization and mineralization of developing enamel (UniProt P63277; molecular weight 19,176 Da).
