Mouse Alpha-tocopherol transfer protein (Ttpa) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Alpha-tocopherol transfer protein (TTPA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse TTPA and is for research use only. TTPA is involved in the transfer of alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) within the body, supporting antioxidant activity and protecting cells from oxidative damage. The protein binds alpha-tocopherol, enhances its transfer between separate membranes, and stimulates its release from liver cells. Dysregulation of TTPA has been implicated in conditions such as oxidative stress, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes, and defects in TTPA are associated with ataxia with isolated vitamin E deficiency (AVED).

The assay has a reported detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.5pg/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. The associated UniProt entry is Q8BWP5.
