Mouse alpha Synuclein ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Mouse alpha-Synuclein ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay designed for the accurate detection of alpha-synuclein in mouse research samples. The kit supports quantification in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is intended for research into neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease, where alpha-synuclein forms aggregates known as Lewy bodies in the brain.

The assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery ranges were 91–100% for serum (average 97%), 85–100% for EDTA plasma (average 92%), and 86–104% for heparin plasma (average 95%). Detection is colorimetric, with TMB substrate and absorbance measured at 450 nm. Components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The six-step procedure includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance reading at 450 nm.
