Mouse Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase (Naga) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for quantitative detection of mouse Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase (NAGA), also referred to as Alpha-galactosidase B. It reacts with natural and recombinant mouse NAGA and is intended for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Key performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.164 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 6.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.8%. Spike-and-recovery testing shows an average recovery of 93% (range 87–99%) in serum and 95% (range 89–101%) in plasma. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16) for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Detection is by ELISA, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

NAGA is a homodimeric lysosomal enzyme that removes terminal alpha-N-acetylgalactosamine residues from glycolipids and glycopeptides and is required for the breakdown of glycolipids. Dysregulation of NAGA activity has been linked to lysosomal storage disorders and other metabolic diseases, making the protein a relevant biomarker in metabolism research.
