Mouse Alpha-L-iduronidase (Idua) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for measuring Alpha-L-iduronidase (IDUA) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse Alpha-L-iduronidase, with a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.8 ng/mL. It is intended for research use only.

Reported performance includes an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.4%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery testing showed an average of 90% (range 84–96%) for serum and 92% (range 86–98%) for plasma. The kit targets the lysosomal monomer corresponding to UniProt P48441, with a molecular weight of 71,254 Da.

As a key enzyme in glycosaminoglycan breakdown, IDUA is central to research into mucopolysaccharidosis type I, including Hurler syndrome (MPS1H), Hurler-Scheie syndrome (MPS1H/S) and Scheie syndrome (MPS1S), all arising from defects in the IDUA gene.
