Description

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Alpha-hemoglobin-stabilizing protein (Ahsp) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse AHSP with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Intra CV is 4.8% and Inter CV is 6.9%. Linearity was verified in serum (92-104%, 91-99%, 102-114%, 90-100% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (96-105%, 109-118%, 101-110%, 105-115%) and heparin plasma (109-118%, 95-106%, 105-113%, 102-113%). Recovery averages 106% (range 100-112%) for serum and 108% (range 102-114%) for plasma.

AHSP, also referred to as Erythroid differentiation-related factor (Edrf) or Erythroid-associated factor (Eraf), is a cytoplasmic chaperone that prevents aggregation of free alpha-hemoglobin during normal erythroid cell development. The protein functions as a monomer that forms a heterodimer with free alpha-hemoglobin but does not bind beta-hemoglobin or alpha(2)beta(2) hemoglobin A. The mouse protein has a reported molecular weight of 11,832 Da (UniProt Q9CY02; NCBI Gene ID: 170812).
