Mouse Alpha Crosslaps/alpha-CTx ELISA Kit

Designed for research into bone metabolism, this competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of alpha crosslaps (alpha-CTx) in mouse samples. Alpha crosslaps are recognised markers of bone resorption, reflecting the breakdown of bone tissue and turnover rates, and are relevant to studies of bone health, osteoporosis and other skeletal disorders.

The assay is coated with antigen and uses a colorimetric detection method. Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.

Linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. For serum (n=10), reported ranges are 94-101%, 85-100% and 90-98% respectively; EDTA plasma (n=10) shows 87-102%, 86-101% and 85-100%; heparin plasma (n=10) shows 85-103%, 87-100% and 85-98%. Recovery data are: serum (n=10) 87-98% with an average of 93%, EDTA plasma (n=10) 85-91% averaging 88%, and heparin plasma (n=10) 85-102% averaging 94%. Absorbance is read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.
