Mouse Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (a2M) ELISA Kit

Alpha-2 macroglobulin is described as a key protein in immune response and inflammation regulation, functioning as a major broad-spectrum protease inhibitor that helps maintain homeostasis. Dysregulation of a2M has been linked to cancer, arthritis and Alzheimer's, underscoring its relevance as a potential diagnostic and therapeutic target in biomedical research.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 3.7ng/mL and a working range of 9.375-600ng/mL, with a shelf life of 12 months. Spiked-matrix recovery was 83-100% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 90-102% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 90-99% (average 94%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 serial dilutions ranged from 79% to 104% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV <10% and inter-assay precision as CV <12%, with kit stability showing a loss rate of less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions.
