Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme (ALPL), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is reactive with mouse samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only and is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

The assay reports a detection range of 3.12-200 U/L with a sensitivity of 1.61 U/L. Intra-assay CV is 6.1% and inter-assay CV is 10.4%. Linearity was tested across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), with recovery ranges of 106-115%, 80-90%, 87-97% and 85-98% for serum; 93-93%, 102-112%, 103-113% and 84-94% for EDTA plasma; and 83-93%, 93-103%, 102-110% and 100-110% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery testing returned an average of 101% (range 95-107%) in serum and 103% (range 97-109%) in plasma. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse ALPL.

ALPL is a membrane-bound glycosylated enzyme anchored via a GPI lipid anchor and functions as a homodimer. It plays a role in skeletal mineralization by maintaining the ratio of inorganic phosphate to inorganic pyrophosphate required for bone mineralization, and is a relevant biomarker for bone-related research including hypophosphatasia. Associated identifiers are NCBI Gene ID 11647 and UniProt accession P09242.
