Mouse Alanine aminotransferase 1 (Gpt) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse alanine aminotransferase 1 (Gpt) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for mouse. The detection method is colorimetric ELISA and the assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse alanine aminotransferase 1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Precision values are 5.4% (intra-assay CV) and 8.7% (inter-assay CV). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 spanned 84–117% in serum, 93–119% in EDTA plasma and 83–111% in heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averaged 93% (range 87–99%) in serum and 95% (range 89–101%) in plasma.

Alanine aminotransferase 1 catalyses the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate, participating in cellular nitrogen metabolism and liver gluconeogenesis.
