Mouse AIF/Apoptosis Inducing Factor ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie enables accurate quantification of AIF (Apoptosis Inducing Factor) levels in mouse samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Using colorimetric detection, the Mouse AIF/Apoptosis Inducing Factor ELISA Kit is suited to apoptosis and programmed cell death research, where AIF plays a role in mitochondrial function and DNA repair and has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.

The assay delivers a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and an assay range of 7.813-500 pg/mL, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85-101%, 87-100% and 87-99% for serum (n = 5); 88-104%, 88-97% and 80-93% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 86-103%, 82-101% and 84-94% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery ranges are 85-102% (average 93%) for serum, 87-102% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma and 86-104% (average 95%) for heparin plasma.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, addition of stop solution and immediate absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
