Mouse Agrin (Agrn) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of mouse agrin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Agrin and is intended for research use in neuroscience applications.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.091 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 7.9% and an inter-assay CV of 10.1%. Recovery averages 106% (range 100–112%) in serum and 108% (range 102–114%) in plasma, and linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

Agrin is a key protein in the formation and maintenance of the neuromuscular junction — the synapse between motor neuron and skeletal muscle — and its dysregulation has been linked to neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis and muscular dystrophy. Defects in agrin are also associated with limb-girdle familial myasthenia, supporting the protein's value as a target for motor neuron and synaptic research.
