Mouse Aggrecan core protein (Acan) ELISA Kit

Aggrecan is a key component of cartilage tissue, providing structural support and hydration to the extracellular matrix. It binds avidly to hyaluronic acid via an N-terminal globular region and resists compression in cartilage, with changes in its levels associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse Aggrecan core protein, with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.089ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%.

The protein is secreted and localised to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, interacting with COMP and FBLN1.
