Mouse Aggrecan (AGC) ELISA Kit

Quantify aggrecan, a key chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan in articular cartilage, with the Mouse Aggrecan ELISA Kit from Assay Genie. Aggrecan contributes to load-bearing capacity and tissue hydration in the cartilage extracellular matrix, and measuring its concentration helps researchers studying osteoarthritis, cartilage degradation, joint injury, skeletal development, and connective tissue disorders track proteoglycan turnover across disease models and treatment studies.

The kit provides reagents for 96 assays using a colorimetric readout. Pre-coated microplate strips, a standard curve of calibrated aggrecan references, and assay buffer are supplied together in a single kit box, supporting batch processing of unknowns alongside calibration points. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and stored frozen to preserve activity; the working buffer is kept refrigerated between runs and protected from light.

The assay accepts tissue homogenates and a range of mouse-derived sample matrices, including blood-derived fractions. For research use only — not intended for diagnostic procedures. Each well functions as a single use reaction, and absorbance readings are interpolated against the standard curve to determine sample concentrations.
