The Mouse Adrenomedullin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a competitive immunoassay built on a microplate strip format. The kit quantitatively measures adrenomedullin (ADM), a 52-amino acid vasoactive peptide derived from pro-adrenomedullin and secreted by vascular endothelium, adrenal medulla, kidney, and heart tissue.

In vivo, ADM signals through the CLR/RAMP2 and CLR/RAMP3 receptor complexes to drive cAMP production, vasodilation, angiogenic sprouting, and endothelial barrier protection in sepsis and acute circulatory shock. The kit supports research into septic shock biomarkers, hypertension, heart failure, preeclampsia models, tumor angiogenesis, and pulmonary hypertension, with common applications in mouse endotoxemia, CLP sepsis, and transverse aortic constriction models.

The assay is read on a standard microplate reader using an in vitro chromogenic endpoint compatible with cell culture supernatant, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, and serum samples, with a typical standard curve spanning 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose near 9.4 pg/mL. Each kit includes a pre-coated plate, lyophilised standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution.
