Mouse Adiponectin (Adipoq) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of adiponectin (Adipoq) in mouse samples. It is reactive with mouse adiponectin and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant mouse adiponectin. Linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and recovery is documented with an average of 96% (range 90–102%) for serum and 98% (range 92–104%) for plasma.

Adiponectin is a secreted adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory activities. It stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion, antagonises TNF-alpha, and inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B signalling through a cAMP-dependent pathway.
