Built around a double-antibody sandwich immunoassay format with a colorimetric readout, this 96-well microplate kit from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of alpha-actinin-1 in mouse-derived specimens. The capture antibody is pre-bound to the plate, and the assay uses a calibrated recombinant standard curve to interpolate unknown sample concentrations.

The kit is calibrated at a detection range of 15.625 to 1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of less than 9.375 pg/mL, supporting fine discrimination of ACTN1 levels across low- and mid-abundance sample types. Validated matrices include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants, with no obvious cross-reactivity reported against homologous analogues. Recommended sample volume is 50 uL for serum or plasma wells, with 100 uL allocated for cell or tissue lysate wells to maintain standard-curve linearity.

Each kit ships with a pre-coated 96-well plate, lyophilized recombinant ACTN1 reference standards, bottled detection antibody, wash buffer concentrate, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution; the chromogenic substrate must be protected from light and the sealed kit stored at 2 to 8 degrees C, with a six-month shelf life and instructions not to freeze any component. The complete workflow fits within roughly four hours of incubation after sample preparation, making the kit practical for cytoskeletal remodeling, focal adhesion, myogenesis, and mouse-model signaling studies where batch-to-batch reproducibility and clean separation from closely related actin-crosslinking proteins are required.
