Mouse Activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein (Arc) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of Mouse Activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein (Arc), also referred to by the synonyms Activity-regulated gene 3.1 protein, ARC/ARG3.1, and mArc. It is intended for research use with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and has been validated to detect both natural and recombinant mouse Arc.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.087 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Linearity was evaluated by spiking samples with the index and testing serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Average recovery was 83% in serum (range 80–89%) and 85% in plasma (range 80–91%). Arc is described as a master regulator of synaptic plasticity that contributes to memory formation, with its dysregulation implicated in neurological disorders, positioning it as a relevant biomarker for research into brain function and potential therapies.
