Mouse Actin Alpha 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTa2) ELISA Kit

ACTA2 is a 42 kDa actin isoform expressed abundantly in smooth muscle lineages and activated fibroblasts, making it a widely cited marker for contractile phenotype switching and extracellular matrix deposition. By quantifying ACTA2 protein in tissue homogenates and other specimen types, investigators can track disease progression in preclinical models of pulmonary fibrosis, hepatic scarring, cardiac remodeling, and tumor stroma formation.
